Step 4: Employee Onboarding & Personal Badges

Step 5: How to Write the NFC Tags (iOS & Android)

Any standard NTAG213, NTAG215, or NTAG216 sticker, coin, or badge works. Employees require no apps installed—tapping triggers the native browser instantly.

Method A: Using NFC Tools App (Free on iOS/Android)
  1. Download NFC Tools from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Open the app and select Write.
  3. Tap Add a record and choose URL / URI.
  4. Copy and paste the pre-formatted URL from Step 3 (Terminal Tag) or Step 4 (Employee Badge Tag).
  5. Tap Write / 18 Bytes and hold your smartphone against the physical NFC sticker/fob until it confirms with a checkmark.
  6. Optional: Select Lock Tag if you want to make it read-only so nobody can overwrite it.
Method B: Two Operational Modes Available
1. Wall / Kiosk Terminal Tag:
Stick the tag to the entrance door. Employee taps their personal phone to the wall tag -> Browser opens showing their name picker and PIN pad to clock in.
2. Personal Employee Badge/Card Tag:
Give the employee an NFC card/keyfob written with their badge URL. Tapping on any supervisor tablet or employee phone instantly loads their custom timesheet session.
